Plástico, cartón papel en desecho son los materiales que manejan en el EFIP para convertirlo en elementos aprovechables de esto nos comenta Mario Di´Marco quien maneja el lugar, "cuando comenzamos el proyecto el gobierno Canario nos brindó durante 3 años un subsidio decreciente hasta que logramos adquirir fuerza sustentable pero, los convenios se suspendieron cuando aún estábamos fortaleciendo el sistema", indicó.
Señaló que esta empresa, en cualquier lugar del mundo, puede ofrecer fuentes de empleo a muchas personas , "incluso permite emplear a personas con discapacidad física para que puedan ofrecer un oficio sólido honesto y bien remunerado".
Explicó que la finalidad del EFIP fue, primordialmente, crear fuentes de trabajo a escolares en deserción con la condición de estimularlos a retomar los estudios, personas con discapacidad física y madres solteras, universo que podian extenderse hasta personas de la tercera edad.
Crear conciencia ambiental, de rescate ecológico, administrar y manejar los desechos sólidos más comunes como el plástico, que es el más abundante y perjudicial para el ambiente, cartón, vidrio, papel, trapos, "todo esto es reciclable y generan ingresos económicos", aseveró.
Por los momentos esta planta está manejando plástico en sus 3 clasificaciones, cartón y papel, añadió Di´Marco que tienen un proyecto con la principal recuperadora de vidrio del país para comenzar a trabajar con este material el cual, es uno de los más delicados y riezgosos para el operario si no cuenta con el equipo especializado, "que es muy costoso" puntualizó.
Relata que en las escuelas se formaron más 60 operarios que se convirtieron en promotores y multiplicadores en sus comunidades, "esas comunidades clasifican sus desechos y nosotros se los compramos, sería genial que otras comunidades se sumaron a esta empresa pues minimizarían el volumen de basura en la región, aliviarían la contaminación ambiental y además obtendrían un ingreso para sus fondos comunales" , advirtió.
Recientemente adquirieron la procedora de plástico, la cual funciona gracias a una planta electrica comprada por el EFIP pues el lugar no cuenta con energía eléctrica industrial y ya está en funcionamiento. Di Marco explica el proceso de reciclaje del plástico, "primero se clasifica según su densidad, luego pasa al premolido, lavado, molido y pelletización, en este último estado se embolsa, se pesa y ya está listo para la venta", indicó.
Quiso Di Marco hacer un llamado al Ministerio del Ambiente para que se aboque al control y vigilancia sobre algunos fabricantes de objetos plásticos los cuales no colocan en el producto el código universal que indica la densidad, tipo y capacidad de reutilización del material, "esto va en detrimento a la calidad del producto y además es necesario que las personas conozcan las características del plástico para llevar a cabo un buen reciclaje", advirtió.
Las comunidades pueden entrar en el juego del reciclaje
Todas las comunidades organizadas pueden crear su sistema de recolección y clasificación para comercializar el material de desecho, "sólo tienen que ponerse en contacto con nosotros para establecer el transporte, pues sólo contamos con un camión que realiza una recorrida diaria por la región", explicó Di Marco.
Por ahora recibimos plástico, cartón y papel, "también es importante coordinar talleres y charlas sobre reciclaje porque al fundamentar una sólida educación ambiental, el reciclaje se convertiría en una de las industrias más productivas y explotables del futuro cercano", puntualizó.
